One Video…
This week I went “live” for the third time — and it was great. Spent about 45 minutes in a one-on-one interview with pollster George Nassar. George drove a PowerPoint deck with all kinds of fascinating information about opinions of likely California voters. Worth your time!

PRESIDENT REAGAN’S EVIL EMPIRE SPEECH
March 8, 1983, at the height of the Cold War, President Ronald Reagan delivered one of the most consequential addresses of his presidency to the National Association of Evangelicals in Orlando, Florida. Tasked with countering a growing “nuclear freeze” movement, Reagan used the platform to reframe the Cold War as a moral conflict rather than a mere geopolitical misunderstanding. In this speech, he famously denounced the Soviet Union as the “focus of evil in the modern world” and an “evil empire”
.While many critics at the time felt the rhetoric was too harsh or aggressive, it was strategically designed to reject “moral equivalence” between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. The speech served as a cornerstone of his “peace through strength” policy, urging a robust defense against what he termed totalitarian aggression. Looking back, the speech is widely regarded as a turning point in challenging the Soviet Union’s legitimacy.
Here’s is the entire speech. It truly is a wonderful way to spend some of your Sunday. But do I miss this wonderful man, and incredible leader for our nation, and the world.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Jon- I think what Kevin is betting on his name recognition he’s got a lot of pleasure and he’s well known in the general region. I think a lot of voters will not care whether he’s an NPP or whether he’s a registered Republican he’s done a superb job of highlighting issues that Republicans care about.
