Taking Nominations: Worst Week in California Politics
Every Friday someone unfortunate soul takes home a bronze, silver or the most not-coveted gold medal for worst week! Nominations are open!
Two weeks ago we rebranded our Worst Week in California Politics, handing out Bronze, Silver and Gold to three California political figures who had weeks they would probably rather forget.
Now I want your help picking this week’s “winners” - lol
Who had a truly awful week in California politics? Who got caught in a scandal, suffered an embarrassing defeat, made a spectacular unforced error, got arrested, endured a damaging revelation, watched a political gambit blow up in their face—or simply generated the kind of headlines that make political consultants stop answering their phones?
The field is wide open: elected officials, candidates, political operatives, activists, interest-group leaders—anyone playing a meaningful role in politics anywhere in California is eligible.
Send me your nominees and tell me briefly what happened. You can hit Reply to this email or use the button below.
And don’t worry about attaching your name to your suggestion: all nominations will be kept anonymous.
So, who deserves Bronze, Silver or Gold this week?
Oh yeah. If you missed last week’s edition, you can find it here.
